My Role as Producer is to oversee what the Editor and Reporter are currently working on.
I am also the Narrator for our Factual feature/Podcast, so I worked along side the editor in making a script so it was suitable for recording in the Sound Theatre.
It requires lots of organisation and making sure that everyone stays motivated. Also to research and find further information about our factual feature, not only the topic but also the structure and the commissioning of the feature. I have helped monitor and post things to this blog as well as our twitter site along with other members of the team.
I also contact the possible interviewees and arrange the times and dates which they are available to be interviewed and making sure that consent forms are filled in by the interviewees. I also fill in any paperwork that needs to be completed for the project, such as M.A.P forms.
