Before deciding to do our feature on Type 1 Diabetes, we discussed other topics such as unemployment in Lincoln. After further discussion we decided on doing a feature about Diabetes, but at this point it was still very open and didn’t have much direction.
As a group we agreed to focus on Type 1 Diabetes due to the Producers recent diagnoses.
During the writing of our proposal we looked at several commissioning websites and various features to see whether our idea fitted or was suitable to be broadcasted on a radio. We found it very difficult to find where to broadcast the feature, so with much discussion we agreed on placing it on a website where it can be downloaded as a podcast for people who have recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes so they can relate and listen to the podcast when they wish.
